Etude House CC Cream in Silky ⥠ăżăȘăăăăăă«ăĄăŻ! I think I have been distracted on and off from this review a few too many times over the past couple of days but alas my attention is finally on it! Details; skin care with eight-in-one multi-functions,
Haihai hai teman-teman. Berbagai merek pun berlomba-lomba mengeluarkan cc

BB cream, CC cream... DD cream?! The trend of BB Creams has now been exceptionally popular worldwide after its success in the asian markets for the past few years. CC Cream was developed to retain all the skincare properties of BB Cream while providing skin correcting makeup. Etude House has two options in their CC Cream line, 01 Silky and 02 Glow. I received the Silky one for free for review purposes before exams and now I'm here to share my opinion on my first CC cream ever. The texture is exactly that, silky, smooth, without shimmer or shiny particles. So I guess, we all heard of CC Creams right? D Let me debrief you all quickly.... CC stands for colour corrector. And it claims to be a mix between skincare and makeup, a more better, in terms of a skincare product, than BB cream, but less coverage/sheerer than BB cream. First impression When it comes to Etude Houseâs products, the packaging is always the first one to capture our attention. And this one is no exemption to that. The CC cream comes in a white and sleek tube with a pump. Itâs simple yet very classic and royal. This CC cream sure is easy to spread and like BB cream, a little goes a long way. It has a hint of lavender scent and is not overwhelming. It has a smooth and a bit runny consistency. My skin became instantly smooth and soft like a silk I'm not joking here - it certainly has an absolute matte finish after it dries up. You just have to wait a minute or two before you settle it with your favorite powder then youâre good to go! How to apply? Etude House themselves stated it's better to apply with fingers as it create warmth and hence, applied easily. When I first squeezed this product out, it looks white and I noticed there are little "capsules" that burst upon contact with the skin which allow the colour to adjust to your skin tone. And because of this, I suggest that you apply a little at a time so that you can adjust how much your skin needs. After I applied it, I understand why fingers are better tool when apply this CC Cream as fingers pop the capsules better than a brush or sponge would. So what does Etude House claims about its Silky CC Cream? - Hydration 2/5 Yes it does contains hyaluronic acid as part of the hydrating properties, but I don't feel any hydrating effect by wearing this CC cream. Well, maybe a bit, but it tends to cling on dry patches and accentuate acne scars. - Conceals 1/5 NO! They must have been joking when they said this CC cream can CONCEAL. The coverage is very sheer and barely covers anything. Even BB cream works better. This Etude House CC cream is formulated not to conceal, but to even out skin tone. That's being said. - Primes An okay product to be used as a primer. Though it won't fill-in wrinkles/pores. Hence, for me, it's more of a makeup base. The 8-in-1 formula is very interesting indeed as it is the first and only one? product that has a lot of benefits in just one product. Anti-agingĂ getting tired of seeing this 'anti-aging' label being used everywhere, this CC cream have a lot of herbal extract on their ingredients list. But I don't think that using 'anti-aging' label is appropriate. Regular use may proof that and moreover, this is not a skincare product. Eventhough it has a decent SPF and UV rays are a huge culprit in making your skin age.. Stress relief? I literally laughed when I saw this. Can't comment much on this one. If what they meant is rejuvinating, then I'd say, this is not a skincare product, and really this is not rejuvinating at all. Hydration Ă as stated above, it's not hydrating at all. It's lacking its moisturing property. Whiteningâ With continuous use I think it's possible, since it has arbutin in it. Sun Protectionâ Yes! SPF 30 PA++ Tone-upĂ I'm gonna just assume it means that it evens out tone. Yes, it does. Smooth textureâ Yes, it has smooth, runny texture which blends easily. LuminosityĂ it definitely gives me a brighter complexion, if that's what they mean. Pros - Offer some coverage but quite sheer which is enough for me to go out with for daily life without BB creams. - Makes my face brighter, - Long lasting last around 6 hours for me for a normal outing day in this spring weather - SPF 30 PA++ perfect for summer! - does not oxidise or change colour after hours of applying look the same as before - easy to blend - comes with a pump = hygienic - overall still gives a natural skin tone. It makes my face naturally brighter, but not because of the makeup effect but the "care" system it has - Is matte finish which is quite different from my everyday look! - can be used as makeup base - natural finishCons - a bit sticky - one shade fits all - light coverage - accentuates dry patches/flaky skin - small! The lid takes up 1/3 of the bottle Sheer coverage can be a pro or con depends on your preferences but the product is meant to be sheer anyway. Overalls Personally, I have an uneven skin tone and has most redness around my nose. However, since it feels a lot lighter than BB Cream, I think for summer I can get away with just using CC Cream with a little bit of concealer and powder. When I apply moisturiser beforehand, it applies very smoothly. It definitely brightens up any dull areas on your face and helps minimise pores in photos so I would say this is a great makeup base for those who wear foundation or BB Cream or alone for those fortunate enough to have great skin! Final Thoughts The difference between BB Cream and CC Cream is that BB cream focuses on the makeup aspect with more coverage, yet there are still a lot of skincare benefits. CC Cream focuses on the skin care aspect with super sheer coverage, but it still evens out tone well. Hence, you can't really compare which is better as they have different properties. The biggest thing is that with this product, less is more. With BB cream you can put on a layer and then build up, here, I'd suggest applying it one section of your face at a time and then really working it in. It does make a difference. Would I recommend this? Honestly, I would. I really like using this product on ready-to-go days. PS. I'm heading to a mini getaway soon hence I won't be able to post any products reviews for the next 2 weeks or so But! I will definitely be doing more posts after I come back. Meanwhile, thankyou for reading if you have read from the top, stay safe and happy everyone! Wanna keep in touch with me? tumblr instagram facebook Love, Velene xoxo*I received this product for free for review purposes. All opinions are honest and my own*
Annyeonghaseyo! eotteohge dangsin-eun?^^ CC cream is getting more popular today, so yes, I joined the craze to find out what's with cc creams. I decided to try Etude House's CC cream in Silky first yeah, I'm thinking of getting another one but still looking for reviews. I wanted the glow version too, but I'm afraid it will not suit my combination-oily skin especially with our hot and humid weather yes even if its already rainy season now, its still hot most of the time -_- So yes, I decided to try the silky version. The packaging is simple and pretty, as expected from Etude House.^^ For more info about this cc cream, let the following photos do the talking. Photos above are not mine^^ CC Cream is basically something that corrects and has more skin care benefits, if you want more coverage/ makeup, then you may use BB cream. This is P798 in Etude House PH stores. Got mine from Kkochipida The pump is good and dispense just the right amount of product you need. This cc cream is also white at first with tiny beads color capsules? but blends and adjusts to your own skin color. Eyebrow pencil + EH CC Cream + EH Water color blusher + lip balm. What I like - It has spf 30/ PA ++ - 8 in 1 functional effects - Packaging, I like it white, simple and clean looking. - The pump is good - Information and direction for use is provided in English - Scent is okay - Oil control is okay, its pretty fair if I'm in an air-conditioned room but if I'm outside, I still have to blot. - Semi matte finish but there is still a hint of dewy/ glow^^ - Gives some pore coverage - Does not oxidize on my skin - It didn't break me out - It feels light on skin and its not sticky. - Its texture, it not too creamy nor too watery. Its easy to apply and blend. - One or two pumps are enough. - Locally available What I don't - My skin may get too white if applied too much or not blended properly. CC cream has a sheer coverage, so it can't really cover much like pimples, scars or dark spots. It can be used alone if you have a pretty good skin or during your nice skin days what did I say? O but if not, you can use it as a base and put bb cream on top. Use a moisturizer on dry areas before applying this. So far I can't say that I love it to the point that I would throw away my bb creams, but I like it. I sometimes use this alone, or pat on a little bb cream on top. Let's just say, I use different things according to my mood or whatever I feel like using.^^ I'm still curious about the Glow version though and would like to try it. Can anyone throw a sample for me? lol. haha Okay till here. See you on my next post.
Iâm really grateful for a good friend I have â not only is she a good person, sheâs also my equivalent of the Evil Queenâs talking mirror from Snow White. Except that my âmirrorâ has design training background, so whenever I apply my truckloads of makeup and ask her âHowâs it?â, sheâll go into very detailed explanations about how âitâs a shade of greyâ and the âtexture is not fine, your previous BB had a more airbrushed finish, it has a tinge of yellow and doesnât match with your natural pink skintoneâ etc. This is wayyyy better than âok, niceâ. Iâve been harassing her for a couple of weeks whilst I alternated between my numerous CC creams â I bet she wants to punch me now. haha. Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream â Silky thereâs another version which is the Glow version The Glow version gives a more dewy finish â a bit too dewy in my opinion, which is why I bought the Silky one. Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream Silky â KRW14,000 Similar to the Holika Holika Face 2 Change CC cream â itâs a stark white cream Can you see the micro-capsules? Itâs even more visible and can be felt more obviously than Holika Holikaâs CC cream Applying and blending it into my skin â the colour changes from white to pink-beige A natural finish that doesnât cover much of my blemishes A pinkish-whitish finish under natural sunlight â note the difference between my face and my neck. Under indoors lighting â the left side one is how I look when I forget to switch off the monitor before taking a selca. A close-up â you can see that the finishing is more matte than silky. I say⊠I first chanced upon this product when I was stewing in my chair for hours whilst doing my hair at some Korean hair salon. The magazines did such a great job recommending it along with a DPS full page spread that I absolutely had to buy it. Yes, itâs that easy to earn my money. heh. The texture is slightly more liquid than Holika Holikaâs CC cream, and spreads easily. The micro colour-changing capsules are also more grainy and slightly more coarse than Holikaâs. In fact, if it wasnât for the box description, I wouldnât have known that there were supposed to be micro-capsules. However, this one isnât coarse to the point that it scratches your skin; itâs just obvious to the touch. The blending requires more effort than Holika â somehow, the overall effect isnât as good as Holika. It gives a more whitish finish than a natural finish. Thereâs not much silky finish though â itâs quite a matte finish thatâs relatively unKorean. The coverage isnât strong too â you can so clearly see my dark eye circles. heh. In fact, I had to dispense 2-3 pumps of this CC cream to cover my blemishes vs Holika Holika, where I only used pumps. It does stay relatively long, about 4 hours, but the coverage is so little that it doesnât really matter that it stays â my talking mirror was like âWhy so many spots on your faceâ? MEH! đŠ Overall, itâs not a bad CC cream but it isnât the best either. Itâs affordable though, so if youâve got good skin without much to conceal, you can try this one. Iâm either gonna wear this to my neighbourhood McDonaldâs, or sell it off. Any takers? Check out my For Sale page XD
Truthfully, I donât plan on reviewing this CC cream from Etude House because 1 Iâm selling this 2 Iâm selling this and 3 Iâm selling this. So, yeah... I am selling this one before, but since there isnât anyone who wanted to buy quite disappointing, eh?, then I might as well use it for myself and do a review. ^o^ Etude House CC Cream has two variants Silky and Glow. Just so you know, I already reviewed the Glow one before Review Etude House CC Cream â Glow. That made me hesitates to do this post, but soon realized that theyâre different in many ways. When it comes to Etude Houseâs products, the packaging is always the first one to look at. And this one is no exemption to that. The CC cream comes in a white and sleek tube with a pump. Itâs simple yet very royal. I have this theory that they packed their cc cream in a tube that represents its finish. I just noticed that because I own the two cc creams and the two of them have different tube-texture. Anyway, thatâs just a theory. Just like the other Korean CC creams and the other variant of this, they have the same white-colored cream that will self-adjust while blending it onto the skin. This cc cream sure is easy to spread and a little goes a long way. It has a hint of lavender scent and is not overwhelming. It has a smooth and a bit runny consistency. I also did this test for you to see if Etude House CC cream Silky is sticky. As you can see, out of 12 paper pieces, only three remained after I flipped my hand. Impressive, right? If I will compare it to the Glow, Silky is less sticky. Ooh, they rhymed! LOL My skin became instantly smooth and soft like a silk. You just have to wait a minute or two before you settle it with your favorite powder then youâre good! Compared to the EH CC Glow, this one doesn't give a whitecast and despite of its light shade, it still matches my skin with yellow undertones. The finish is absolute matte after it dries up. Etude House claims that this cc cream could cover your flaws, but it couldnât really. The coverage is very sheer and barely covers anything. I remember saying this before that some cc creams work better for those with a less skin problem. This CC cream, after all, was made to even out the uneven skin tone. I like using it under my BB cream and foundation or alone during my lazy days. A makeup with sheer coverage has its advantage too, you know? It might make you feel bare, but still, with its matte finish, it is a perfect one for no-makeup makeup, yes? Hmm.. The 8-in-1 formula sure is interesting. With one product, you can really skip your skin care routine I know youâre sensing a âbutâ here haha but, itâs moisturizing property is a bit lacking. Yes, it lacks moisture to my skin, I donât if itâs just me, but I really did notice it. Maybe thatâs the advantage of the other variant, CC cream Glow since its way better on moisturizing. Sun protection? Yes, it has SPF30 PA++. And given that it has Arbutin in it, I think that it will help whiten the skin with continued usage. Another good point of this cc cream is that it gives a healthy complexion on the skin and yes, it does even out my skin tone! It stays for about 3-4 hours prior to application.
